Life Has No Deadline.
We all know this statement is true, yet we often forget it. That’s why some people find love at 50, while others become millionaires at 20. Everyone’s journey unfolds differently, and we reach our goals at our own pace, in our own time.
But today’s world makes us feel like we’re not married by 25, we’re missing out. If we don’t earn a certain amount of money, we’re not living a “good life.” Here’s what many people don’t realise: I might be earning less money, but I have zero debt. After paying my bills, I can still afford to treat myself to something nice once in a while.
I might not be married by 25 or have kids, but I’m healthier and happier than I’ve ever been. We rush through life trying to prove ourselves to society, and in doing so, we forget that life continues after every milestone. There’s always more to learn, more to love, more to become.
Just because I’m graduating at 26 and you’re graduating at 23 doesn’t mean I’m late. Living your life as if it has a deadline will never bring true happiness. When you’re always rushing, you forget to appreciate yourself for what you’ve already accomplished.
There’s a reason we’re encouraged to celebrate even our smallest wins. Starting and finishing something isn’t easy, and when you do it often enough, you can lose sight of its meaning.
So, slow down. If something can’t be done today, it’s okay, there’s always tomorrow, and the day after that. As long as you’re committed, there will always be time.
Do not live your life like it’s a to-do list to be checked off. Live each day knowing tomorrow holds the promise of joy, growth, and hope.
